Your NOT reading a way to boost MY Technorati Ranking, but this is an experiment to see if you could possibly boost YOUR Technorati Rankings with this scheme I have in mind. A Tiny Signs experiment.

As you all noticed, Technorati has included the Technorati Authority for blog listings and search results pages on its recent update. The Technorati Authority is the number of Links your blog is getting in the last six months. The old ranking system has now been changed:

It is important to note that we measure the number of blogs, rather than the number of links. So, if a blog links to your blog many times, it still only count as +1 toward your authority. Of course, new links mean the +1 will last another 180 days.

Technorati Rank is calculated based on how far you are from the top. The blog with the highest Technorati Authority is the #1 ranked blog. The smaller your Technorati Rank, the closer you are to the top.

So what does that mean? Well, It could be a better way of ranking blogs since one has only one vote coming from another site. So if I have reviewed you or got you into my links, then you get +1 on your authority.

Getting everyone favorite you on Technorati doesn’t assure you of getting a higher ranking on Technorati - maybe just being favorited by more users. You need their links from their site to get your ranking up!

A test for getting a Technorati rank UP or even higher than UP

Trains has been a good way of getting your rank up, for a six months of ranking and if those you have added on the list would follow with the train. What I have noticed is that, the lower the blog is located on the list, the greater the number of backlinks it would give them, so if I started a fresh train now, and you would ride that train I made (a couple of other bloggers too), I would get the greatest number of backlinks and those who follow after you wouldn’t get any from me. Its a little bit one way, don’t you think?

So here is a proposal. For a simple link from you blogroll to my blog and/or adding me to your Technorati Favorites:

• I would add you to my Technorati Favorites (which automatically gets you to a special blogroll for technorati I have on the site.) I am currently working it out so it would not take all the space of my sidebar. I would have a new theme with 2 sidebars which would give more space for my Technorati Faves listings.
• Review those sites. Check out the reviews made (Links and Kisses),it would be similar to that but not as detailed. Likes those Blog Drive-Bys by Untwisted Vortex.
• and If you have notice, the NOFOLLOW tag is removed, so if you comment, the friendly spider will follow through your site. (I also plan to get a top commenters list plugin working on the homepage.)

SO it would just mean that your link would be forever be embedded into my blog. If those aren’t enough for you to get YOUR Ranking Higher than UP(+1 every 6 months), then tell me what I could do. (a friend of mine told me, hammer those links into my forehead for everyone to know!) /heh

Another way of marketing which brought revolution in the internet marketing is pay per click program which is also known as PPC. Now, any body can search advertising and definitely find out the results which will guide him about doing advertising. You maybe wondering why I am doing this? Well, this is to try and get a little traffic to my site. I am hungry for traffic and love reviewing/writing about something else aside from programming.
